CTA Special Ed Conference CTA's first-ever Special Education Conference (2021 Home Edition!) is virtual and free, April 30–May 2, with professional growth hours available at no cost. CA LMI Labor Management Convening APRIL WEBINAR Virtual. California Labor Management Initiative, a project of Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation, convenes labor-management teams from school districts across the state to promote labor-management collab- oration. In this convening, participants will explore the basic research on labor-management collaboration, an overview of the three CA LMI frame- works (coherence, three frames of unionism, and boundaries of a school system), and focus on building trust and structures for collaboration. ° CCA Spring Conference APRIL CONFERENCE Virtual. The Community College Asso- ciation's spring conference highlights membership and features the presen- tation of CCA's WHO (We Honor Ours) Awards. Día (Children's Day) APRIL E VENT Hundreds of public and school libraries celebrate El Día de los Niños/El Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día. Check out resources on our website and celebrate your school's educators in style. ° ESP Week MAY E VENT Celebrate the vital contributions of education support professionals during ESP Week (o™icially observed by the state as Classified School Employee Week). ° LGBTQ+ Safety in Schools Grants and Scholarships MAY APPLICATION DEADLINE The LGBTQ+ Safety in Schools Pro- gram in Honor of Guy DeRosa o™ers scholarships up to $2,500 to self- described LGBTQ+ educators, and grants up to $2,500 for groups and projects promoting understanding and respect for LGBTQ+ persons. ° CTA ESP Day MAY E VENT Education support professionals make up one-third of the entire education workforce, and our schools could not run without them.
