T H E N O V E M B E R 2026 ballot will include Prop. 3, The Cal- ifornia Children's Education and Health Care Protection Act of 2026. Passing Prop. 3 is crucial to protect existing funding — almost $15 billion annually — for our schools and students. Prop. 3 keeps the wealthiest Califor- nians paying their share so our public schools get the funding our students deserve. Without it, our public schools face a devastating 15% budget cut; 1 in 6 educators would face layoffs. A year and a half ago, our union kicked off a campaign to permanently extend Prop. 55 — an existing tax on couples earning over $700K annually that will expire in 2030. In the past months, CTA members gathered more than 180,000 signatures to qualify the mea- sure for the November ballot. That measure is now Prop. 3. Our union is already working hard on Get Out the Vote efforts to ensure it becomes law. "We know that when we knock, we win. We need you to join us to canvass neighborhoods and talk to voters right now and all summer to ensure we pass Prop. 3," says CTA President David Goldberg. " Talk to a chapter leader today to find out how you can be a part of this historic effort — our students are counting on us!" The choice is simple: Continued resources for our K–12 schools and community colleges or a tax cut for the wealthiest Californians. We vote for our students — our future. Check out cta.org/YesOn3 for information, resources and shareables, and join us in the fight to fully fund our schools. And post the mini-poster on the facing page to bring awareness to our campaign! #YesOnProp3 cta.org/YesOn3 "We know that when we knock, we win, and we're starting to canvass neighborhoods and talk to voters right now and all summer to ensure we pass Prop. 3." —CTA President David Goldberg. Keep funding for our schools — and our future — intact YES on Proposition 3! 40 cta.org Our Union
