O U R U N I O N H A S launched the biggest canvassing campaign in our history in the fight to win Proposition 3 — and to elect hundreds of local school board candidates who share our values. Members are knocking on neighbors' doors up and down California every weekend and weekdays after school till Election Day on Nov. 3. "We know that when we knock, we win," says CTA President David Goldberg. " There is no text message, no piece of mail that can take the place of a local educator at a voter 's doorstep telling them Prop. 3 matters." Electing school board members who believe in and support our students and schools is vital to the future of public education, particularly in a time when public education is under attack in district budgets and at the federal level.
