Clovis Educators Intensify Organizing Efforts Educators throughout Clovis Unified School District (CUSD) are signing the Association of Classified Employees (ACE) petition because ACE members are improving the status quo. ACE currently represents school psy- chologists and mental health support providers, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters and aides, and the school naturalists at CUSD. Students now have better access to mental health supports because of improvements to workload that the school psychologists and mental health support providers fought for and won. The ASL interpreters and aides are also making gains and forcing the district to hire more positions to meet student needs. Organizing to make the dream of a united educators union in Clovis a reality, ACE is continuing the fight to represent all educators in Clovis to build one strong union, including part-time teachers, school nurses, counselors, early educators and speech language pathologists. "Our union is fighting to represent everyone because we know we have the power together to ensure our students have access to the safe, stable, fully funded schools they deserve," said ACE Vice President Kristin Heimerdinger.
