CTA awarded $350,000 health grant The California Endowment has awarded CTA’s Teachers for Healthy Kids program an additional two-year grant in the amount of $350,000 to increase awareness of the impor- tance of nutrition and increased physical activity. The grant will also continue CTA’s efforts to improve classroom air quality and reduce asthma triggers for sensitive stu- dents. CTA recognizes that healthy, well-nourished, physically active students are more prepared to learn and have better concentration, school attendance and test scores. This grant award will help CTA con- tinue to address this important issue.
