B Bleed Margin Bleed Margin REFLECTIONS RAQUEL RAMSEY REFLECTIONS RAQUEL (RAQUI ) RAMSEY Honoring Legacies CTA/NEA Retired member and former high school English and writing teacher Raquel Ramsey has written a new book called Reflections. The book contains short stories and poems with moral lessons and values of faith, hope, love and courage as exemplified by the lives of Ramsey 's late husband Col. Edwin P. Ramsey, 26th Cavalry PS, who is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, sister- in-law Nadine Ramsey, WASP Pilot of WWII, and others who have enriched Ramsey 's life in different ways. Divided into eight chapters, Reflections is ideal for high school readers to reflect on the people and experiences that have positively impacted their lives. Read about Ramsey 's other works at nadinebramsey.com. Restoring Galactic Peace High School English teacher and Las Virgenes Education Assn. member Lance Novak has published his seventh novel, Excelsior's Revenge: A Kabookian Chronicles Story. The companion novel to his original Miss Sophia Sanchez series, Novak transports readers 30 years after Earth is liberated from the Leezhahi after a great battle. The galaxy enjoys a thriving economy and a flourishing new outpost, Umpt-chah Station. However, this prosperity is threatened when an unexpected force emerges close to Mars. Admiral Sophia Crawford, commander of the Mars Gov- ernment fleet, must lead her troops into battle to defend Mars from this new enemy. The book explores themes of leadership and resilience. Magic, Swords, Mystery Napa Valley Education Assn. member and English Language Arts educator John Fultz has written Immaculate Scoundrels, which is the first novel of the Scaleborn fantasy series. The book introduces the ancient empire of Yhorom, setting the stage for a tale of warring factions and mystical pursuits. The characters are intriguing — Thold goes on a quest to pursue a mystical vision while Yuhai hunts for scaleborn wizards and witches. Their alliance to seek treasure in a haunted desert launches an expedition that will reveal horrors of history and unleash unprecedented power. A story for fans of all ages of the dark fantasy genre. Read about Fultz's other books at fultzauthor.com. Often educators' creativity spills over into a book, album, blog or vlog, or other work.
