O N O C T . 18 , more than 800 representatives on CTA State Council of Education joined tens of thousands in downtown Los Angeles and millions nationwide to rise together against the authoritarian Trump presidency and shout out loud that there are #NoKings in America. It was one of thousands of protests that took place across the country, as people increasingly oppose the administration's policies on immigration, education, health care and environmental protections. An estimated 7 million attendees nationally exceeded the 5 million who took part in the first #NoKings Day in June. CTA State Council delegates and leadership brought the power and energy of educator solidarity as they rallied in LA's Grand Park outside City Hall, led on a march there by Grammy Award-winning band Ozomatli.
