Each d elegate will b e e x - pected to arrive in Sa n Diego in time to ensure registering as an of ficial delegate to the Representa- tive As sembly (RA) with both the Cal i f ornia delegation and NEA. 2. Each delegate will be ex pected to attend all caucuses of the California delegation. N ormally t he c aucus begins at 7 a.m. daily. Del e gates must be registered with the California del- egation to participate in the caucus. Delegates are expected to remain through the convention. 3. Each delegate shall at tend all business meetings of the RA. 4. Each de legate i s s trongly encouraged to attend NEA budget committee hearings, r esolutions committee hearings, bylaw commit- tee hearings, speeches by prom inent national figures, etc. 5. Each delegate should t ake into consideration CTA State Coun- cil and caucus pol icy when voting. 6. Each delegate is encouraged to participate fully in all activities of the California del egation. 7. Each delegate — state and local — will be ex pected to sit with his or her Service Center Council delegation on the RA floor or to inform t he a ppropriate p erson where he or she will be seated. This is to ensure com munication regard- ing RA bus iness and/or per sonal emer gency information of concern to the delegate, as well as to verify at tendance. I understand t hat, as a s tate delegate, my attendance is being di rectly funded, at least partially, by membership dues.
