Duties of delegates to Rep Assembly in Orlando, Florida 1. Each delegate will be expected to a r r i ve i n O r l a n d o i n t i m e to e n s u re registering as an official delegate to t h e Re p re s e n t at i v e A s s e m b l y ( R A ) with both the California delegation and NEA. 2. Each delegate will be expected to attend all caucuses of the California d e l e g a t i o n . N o r m a l l y, t h e c a u c u s begins at 7 a.m. daily. Delegates must be registered with the California del- egation to participate in the caucus. D e l e g a te s a r e ex p e c te d to r e m a i n through the convention. 3. Each delegate shall attend all busi- ness meetings of the RA. 4. Each delegate is strongly encour- aged to attend NEA budget commit- tee hearings, resolutions committee hearings, bylaw committee hearings, speeches by prominent national fig- ures, etc. 5 . E a c h d e l e g a te s h o u l d t a k e i n to consideration CTA State Council and caucus policy when voting. 6 . E ac h d e l e g ate i s e n c o u rag e d to participate fully in all activities of the California delegation. 7. Each delegate — state and local — will be expected to sit with his or her Service Center Council delegation on the RA floor or to inform the appro- p r i ate pe rs o n w h e re h e o r s h e w i l l be seated. This is to ensure commu- nication regarding RA business and/ or personal emergency information of concern to the delegate, as well as to verify attendance.
