Some pros and cons of the change that educators should keep in mind: Pros • M O R E U S E R S — Those constrained by 140 may now jump in. More users = more chances to meet people and increase your following! • C R E AT I V I T Y — More ways to make your tweets stand out. For example, using spaces to break up text can add a different look to your tweet. • F E W E R A B B R E V I AT I O N S — No more scratching your head trying to figure out acro- nyms or awkwardly shortened words. Cons • L O S E S I N T E G R I T Y — 140 made Twitter unique, and getting your message out in 140 is a specialized skill set. • B O R I N G T W E E T S — We may see tweets that could have been more concise and read- able.
